Like a band of Vikings charging defiantly through the uncertain waves of pop culture and jaded critical attitudes, X Factor X unabashedly sails it’s own musically intense course, bent on delivering electrifying yet accessible hard rock. Drawing on ancient to cutting edge metal and rock influences, the band slants and shapes their music with roaring ferocity and eerily beautiful results.
From their earliest gigs throughout the New Haven Connecticut area music scene, the band as well as the local music community quickly realized the undeniable chemistry of this audacious and outrageous four piece. Winning best metal band for years in a row (based on readers polls) in the area’s biggest arts & music newspaper as well as landing opening slots for many of their idols were positive signs for the band at a time when creating ferocious and interesting musical arrangements and actually playing and singing in tune were not the coolest thing going.

Known for their sharp singing and playing abilities as well as their over the top live shows, Andre, John, Chris and Todd each bring a distinctive personality to the mix. John and Todd have known each other since eighth grade, and John, Andre and Chris all circled the same music scene for years before finally working together. They’ve always written what comes naturally to them, and that alone makes them stand out, but it seems to be the sheer energy they pound into their instruments that makes them so undeniable.

There’s something more at work here besides cranking the amps to eleven and going for it, though. Give it a listen and see if you too agree that "They really might be on to something here..."
